Student Scholarship Recipient
Alum Alex Koutelias ‘15, a graduate of New College’s International and Area studies, received both an academic scholarship and a student research and travel grant—the latter to study at The Hague in the Netherlands for a semester. While there, he completed an internship at the International Network of Museums for Peace, a non-governmental organization that works to promote cultural understanding through the exchange of museum artifacts.
Alex’s academic interests include the performing and visual arts and their relevance in society. The Sarasota native was accepted into the Master of International Arts Management program offered jointly through Southern Methodist University in Dallas, HEC Montreal, and SDA Bocconi School of Business in Milan.
He is now spending four months in each city learning the skills necessary to one day lead his own arts organization. “New College has given me so many opportunities, and I always make the most of any opportunity I am given,” says Alex. “I am beyond grateful for the generosity of my scholarship donors.”
